Things start to get uncomfortable in the third trimester of pregnancy as your belly grows. Your body starts to look awful as it leaves the stretch marks. And you come to the point that you want to get over with it. Despite all of my 3rd trimester aches and pains and the mood swings because of the raging hormones, I’ve been astounded by what my body can accomplish. Anyway, there are a few third trimester must haves that can help make things go more smoothly:

  1. Eating and Drinking Natural Labor Inducer
  • Pink Stork Labor Prep Tea

This is the must have during your last pregnancy. It designed to shorten labor ease contractions and tone your uterus. This tea has this benefits: red raspberry leaf which helps strengthen your uterine walls and decrease labor time. Stinging nettle which eases bodily cramps during and after pregnancy. Oat straw and chamomile which boost natural energy and reduces stress

This works like a magic to me on my 2nd pregnancy. I took it on my 37th weeks. It did not assist me in having an early labor, but it did assist me in reducing the duration of my labor. I only had 6 hours of labor and 30 minutes of pushing with this pregnancy. This, I believe, helped me in a smooth delivery.

  • Pineapple

Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme found in pineapples that helps soften the cervix and hence induce labor.

2. Sleeping Pills

It is so hard to have a good night sleep while pregnant. Not to mention the baby’s movement, the back pain, muscle aches and nausea. As your baby is getting lower towards your uterus you may have frequent trips to the bathroom too. That’s why there are safe pills to take if you are having difficulty. My doctor recommended Benadryl. Antihistamines cause drowsiness and are proven to be safe for baby. I took it 20 minutes before bedtime and it puts me in a deep, restful slumber that leaves me feeling refreshed in the morning.

3. Stretch Mark Lotion

When your belly starts to get itchy, that’s the time that stretch marks are popping out. It starts as a red rush and eventually it will lighten and will become a mark. Using a stretch mark cream throughout your pregnancy will help your skin stay supple and nourished as it grows.

I used the Palmer oil and Bio Oil throughout my pregnancy. the palmer oil is formulated with a rich cocoa butter and shea butter blend to soften, smooth, and plump skin, as well as Vitamin E to aid moisture retention and repair damaged skin. The oil is a specially created blend of potent natural oils such as Vitamin A, Vitamin E, chamomile, sunflower, and lavender oil that helps to reduce inflammation, enhance elasticity , and regenerate skin.

4. Birthing Ball

No time for exercise? You can just sit on a large bouncing ball to start descending your baby’s head into the pelvis. Make circles of 8 or bouncing up and down to create more room for your baby to be born. Plus this ball can use after giving birth to soothe fussy baby.

5. Compression Socks

At the end of your pregnancy your body and legs will start swelling. These compression socks can help your blood vessels work more efficiently by compressing your legs and ankles.

There are a lot more items out there that are useful for this third trimester pregnancy that I didn’t put here, but these were my top priorities when I was pregnant. I hope these product helps you feel a little more in control. You’re almost there and you can snuggle your little bundle of joy anytime soon.

You got this mama!
